Celebrating the Class of 2025: Honoring Student Success at DVC

  • June 3, 2025

This spring, Diablo Valley College proudly celebrated the Class of 2025 through a series of vibrant graduation and end-of-year events. From culturally rooted celebrations to academic milestone recognitions, each gathering highlighted the resilience, achievement and diverse journeys of our students.

The festivities included the 2nd Annual APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) Districtwide Graduation, the Lavender Graduation for LGBTQ+ students and allies and Umoja’s Sherehe ya Mahafalu, celebrating Black student excellence. The Puente Program and the EOPS/CARE/CalWORKS community also held meaningful year-end celebrations honoring the accomplishments of their students.

STEM scholars were recognized through multiple MESA events, while the DVC Scholarship Awards Ceremony highlighted academic excellence and community impact. Veterans were honored during the Student Veterans Resource Center celebration and Transfer Decision Day Cheer Tunnels brought energy and encouragement to students taking the next step in their academic journeys.

The season concluded with DVC’s Commencement Ceremony, where graduates were honored for their dedication, perseverance and accomplishments. Surrounded by proud families, friends and faculty, the Class of 2025 marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next.

Congratulations to all our graduates! This achievement is just the start of all the amazing things you’re destined to do.
