Ada Ocampo-Pedroza

Manager, Early College Experiences and Student Engagement

Ada Ocampo-Pedroza, is the Academic Student Services Manager overseeing the First Year Experience program, Diamante Scholars, P.U.M.A. Center, and co-leading the new student Welcome Day. Prior to her role at DVC, Ada led an H.S.I. initiative at Cañada College, supported the Stanford-SFUSD Research Practice Partnership and taught middle school math and science. She holds a master’s in education policy, organization, and leadership studies from Stanford University. During her time at DVC, Ada has launched Diamante Scholars which has proven to increase retention and success rates in addition to valuable professional skills for local Mount Diablo Unified students and co-initiated the Pride Alliance (insert pride alliance link). She has also worked to expand the College Now program and the First Year Experience Program while maintaining a culturally affirming space in the P.U.M.A Center. Outside of work, Ada enjoys attending local cultural events, and cuddling her maltipoo dachshunds.
