Message from Student Life

Diablo Valley College welcomes LGBTQIA+ students with a commitment to experiencing a supportive environment that creates and inspires others. DVC’s mission is, “We inspire, educate, and empower students to transform their lives and their communities.” Our work focuses on connecting students to the college community in the following ways:

  • Participation and leadership development in clubs,
  • Student government in the shared governance process, and
  • Engaging students in advocacy.  

In addition, DVC welcomes students to participate in the LGBTQIA+ Learning Community, Pride Student Association Club, and participation in the LGBTQIA+ workgroup. Our continued partnership with the Rainbow Community Center provides extended learning with our Cultural Humility Series programming. Please join our efforts to advance social justice and get involved in your college today.
